N.Z. SCOTTISH REGIMENT

Major Murchison Retires Major N. S. Murchison, officer commanding A Squadron. New Zealand Scottish Regiment. Royal New Zealand Armoured Corps, for the last three years, has been transferred to the reserve of officers after 19 years’ service. Major Murchison will be succeeded by Captain M. H. McCrostie. of Christchurch. Enlisting in the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry, Major Murchison served in Italy with the Divisional Cavalry. Since World War Two he has been with the 3rd Armoured Regiment and headquarters. 3rd Infantry Brigade before posting to the New Zealand Scottish Regiment. At a recent social evening of members of the Christchurch squadron. Major Murchison. was presented with a fireside chair on behalf of all ranks.
