N.Z. Leaders Firmer, Australians Weak
Although New Zealand secondary’ issues tended to weaken in moderate trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday the leaders were notably firm with two rises to each fall. Apart from fractional rises by Ansett, Woolworths notes and Oil Search, movements in Australian shares were all downward. The biggest falls, proportionately, were made by E.Z. Industries, L. J. Hooker, National Consolidated, Reid Murray and Waltons.
