Norfolk Pine Felled

One of the few remaining bg Norfolk pine trees in Auckland was felled recently because it was blocking the light from a near-by house. The pine, which was about 120 feet high. s"ood in the grounds of the Auckland Kindergarten Teachers’ College. Because of its size the tree was taken down in two sections. There are about two dozen Norfolk pines left in Auckland. The biggest measures 130 feet.
