Police Search For Man

Police were hoipeful of success in their investigations

into the shooting on Saturday of the New Zealand hairdresser. Mr Joshua Liddel. the chief of the homicide squad, Detective-Inspec-tor Jack Matthews, said tonight. Photographs of a man wanted for questioning in the shooting were distributed to police stations throughout Victoria today Police headquarters in all other States also have been alerted. Mr Liddel was shot twice when he grappled with an intruder at his hairdressing premises. One bullet hit him in the chest, and the other in a hip. Doctors have still not removed the bullets

Doctors at the Royal Melbourne Hospital said tonight that his condition was still critical. They said he had developed pneumonia and was breathing with the aid of a tube through his throat
