Yawl Challenges

The 72ft American yawl, Northern Light, was reported early today to be challenging the South African ketch. Stormvogel, for the lead in the 1962 Newport to Bermuda international yacht race. Stormvogel is an odds-on favourite to win. The race began on Saturday.
Return Ordered. Four unions have ordered about 1400 tradesmen on a 24-hour stoppage to return to work at the Broken Hill Proprietary’s Newcastle steelworks today Actor Unwell.— The actor, Edward G. Robinson, was admitted to hospital in Nairobi last night after suffering a “queried heart attack,”—Nairobi, June 19.
