ARANUI H.S. INSPECTED
Parents’ Visit On
Saturday
Slightly more than 100 parents and members of the public interested in education inspected facilities at. Aranui High School for two hours on Saturday morning. It was the second time the school had been opened for public inspection.
The headmaster (Mr W. J A. Brittenden) said yesterday that most of those who attended were parents of next year’s third formers. Staff and prefects w’ere on duty during the visiting period. Last year about 300 attended the “open morning,” he said.
The inspection was made on Saturday because applications for entry to postprimary schools must be lodged next month. In October, another “open morning" will be held for parents when the headmaster will talk about activities at the school. The method is employed to eliminate timeconsuming interviews with individual parents.
