Gallant Lady Wins Again At Awapuni

PALMERSTON NTH., June 17. Gallant Lady and Smoky Bay. which won the double on tlie first cray, won again on the second day of the Manawatu Racing Club’s meeting at Awapuni on Saturday. Gallant Lady showed rare gameness to take the Awapuni Winter Cup from Beau Kura, with Dowdex and Bright Coral close up. Smoky Bay ran on too well for the pacemaker. Gayestephan to win the Members' Handicap decisively, with Tamil a good third ahead of Toureg Racing was held In fine weather but the track was heavy.
