Licences are distributed as follows: Auckland. 17.068 Christchurch. 6116 Wellington. 5238 The advent of writer has* contributed to the growth of viewers If their numbers continue growing at the present rate, the extra fillip television will undoubtedly be given after the Dunedin service opens about the end of this month could put the number of licences up to about 35,000 by the end .of September—provided there are enough sets to go round.
