One Granted At Nelson

WELLINGTON, Mar. 13

The Licensing Control Commission yesterday granted a liquor licence to Gerard Henny van Cappelleveen for the Continental Restaurant, 89 Hardy street, Nelson, subject to compliance with all basic requirements. The applicant was represented at the brief hearing by Mr C. I. Patterson. Decisions were reserved in a resumed hearing on an application by Bryan Phillip Evans, for the Las Vegas Restaurant. 32 Esk street, Invercargill and by Constantinos Arabagis (Mr S. R. M. Jenkins) for the Embassy Restaurant. 50 Manners street, Wellington. The Invercargill application was opposed by Mr J. G. Young, for the New Zealand Alliance.
