Hundreds Wait Outside

(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, Feb. 11

Hundreds waited outside a packed church at Morrinsville on Saturday for the marriage of the All Black Rugby full-back, D. B. Clarke and Miss Patsy Woodward, aged 21.

All Morrinsville, it seemed, turned out to shower the bride and groom with confetti and good wishes as they battled their way to the bridal car.

The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Joan Woodward, and her cousins, Misses Judy Barron, Margaret Gibbons and Dianne Barron.

After the ceremony at the church the couple went to the reception and late in the afternoon headed for “destination unknown."

Since first playing representative Rugby for Waikato at the age of 17, D. B. Clarke has become New Zealand’s greatest points-getter.

His bride was employed in the State Advances Office in Hamilton. She has played indoor basketball and was an enthusiastic member of the Hamilton Operatic Society.
