Conference To Open On Monday

The Minister of Transport (Mr McAlpine) will open the conference of the New Zealand Institution of Engineers at the University of Canterbury on Monday. The conference will last until Friday and include the annual general meeting of the institution.

Four hundred engineers will attend the papers, conversazione and the symposium on education, research and the design of engineering schools.

There will be a conference ball on Thursday evening and on Friday the members of the Institution will disperse to various engineering projects or factories.
