N.Z. GIN

Price Is Id A Nip

New Zealand-distilled gin will be on sale in private and public bars of Canterbury hotels on Friday morning at Is Id a nip. The price was agreed upon at an executive meeting of the Hotel Association of New Zealand in Wellington. The price will be the same in other New Zealand centres.

The president of the Canterbury Hotels’ Association (Mr A- F. McGregor) who attended the meeting, said that the price will come into effect on Friday so that time can be allowed for publicans to be informed of it.

Mr McGregor said that there were still a number of hotels in the Canterbury area with large stocks of English gin, and it would continue to be sold at Is 3d a nip.
