The Queen

Sir, —Out of all the leaders and articles that must have appeared in the British papers on the subject of the first 10 years of the Queen’s reign, why pick, on the one that is derogatory to Her Majesty for publication on your news page? We are fortunate enough to have a Queen who is an example to the world in her home life, her devotion to duty, and her efforts on behalf of all that the free world stands for. But time and again you miss the opportunity of giving her praise and encouragement where it is due, and to my mind, in this respect, you misuse the great power that lies in your hands. —Yours, etc., K. G. NEILL.

February 7, 1962. [Our views on the subject were printed on Monday. We see nc reason why other responsible views should not be noticed.— Ed., “The Press.”]
