HOMES FOR THE AGED

Indian Visitor’s Interest

Homes for the aged in New Zealand are of particular interest to Mrs S. Ramachar. of Hyderabad, India, who comes from a country where looking after aged people is no problem In India old folk live with their sons or daughters as an accepted tradition and family responsibility. Eventide homes do not exist as part of a community. “I think the old people’s homes are doing very important work in this country and I was most impressed by the one I visited in Masterton. It is filling a great need,” Mrs Ramachar said last evening. Mrs Ramachar is visiting New Zealand with her husband.

“We should examine ourselves and learn what is the affection and purpose of the heart, for in this way only can we learn what we honestly are.”—Mary Baker Eddy.
