B. J. C. Wall Wins Race Trophy, B J. C. Wall’s Impetuous led the fleet home in the final race of the Harry Brodie Memorial Trophy at Lyttelton on Saturday. and won the trophy series as well. Impetuous was third in the first heat and second in the second race. It scored 216 points. The runner-up was A. W. Shields’s R Class dinghy Vision, with 158 points. Frenzy (G. S. Mander), with 150 points, was third. Mander did not start in the first heat. Results of Saturday’s race were:— Impetuous <B. J. C. Wall and B. D. Taylor), 3.smin, 3:29.13, 1; Contort (M. The second heat of the W. J Twomey Memorial series of races for open centreboard yachts resulted:—

Carri (R. Ayling), 16min, 3:42.10. 1; Bikini (W. Cordell), scr. 3:56.35. 2. Cordell started nine minutes late.

Olympic Finn yachts sailed in the second heat of the J. Neville Memorial Trophy. Results were:—

LaHin (V. Smith), 7inin. 3:52 21. 1: Hyphen iD. H. Borrelli. 2min. 3:56.20. 2: Pandora ID. Bryson), scr, 3:57.0. 3; Rang! Maria iP. Priest), 7min, 3:57 4.

Six P Class yachts entered the chib's seven-footer championship event, which carried the C. M. Welsh trophy with it. The event was won bv T Hemsley. in Susie, bv nearly two minutes from I. Smith’s Kathy.

A handicap race for P Class yachts resulted in a win for R. Norris, in Pepe, the scratch boat. Smith and Hemsley finished more than 10 minutes astern on elapsed time.
