MACHINERY AT KINLEITH

Unit Ordered For Kaiapoi

(From Out Own Reporter) AUCKLAND, Nov. 14. Sir David Henry, chairman of New Zealand Forest Products, Ltd., blamed the Industrial Licensing Committee for holding up the establishment of the new pulp and paper mill to be built a mile from Kaiapoi, He said tonight that Canterbury could have had a paper mill almost completed by now, but the committee postponed the licence for six months.

“I held everything up waiting for a decision, as the order was already placed for a new mill for the Kaiapoi site,” he said. “This mill is now being installed at Kinleith, and incidentally is a larger one than Canterbury is getting from England.”
