The prominent Australian jockey. N. McGrowdie, aged 40, who was kiUed to Singapore last month, left an estate Of £20,028 to his widow, Marcia Iherese McGrowdie. His will, granted probate in the Supreme Court today, was made 15 years ago. McGrowdie—known to racegoer* as "big race" McGrowdie—won three Metropolitans, two Sydney Cups, a Doncaster Handicap, the Epsom Handicap, the AJjC. Derby, and the 1957 Melbourne Cup.
