Motor Dealers’ Ball
Two model cars were on display at the annual ball of the New Zealand Licensed Motor Vehicle Dealers’ Association. One was a 1961 model, and the other one of the earliest English Austin 7 models. Cartoons decorated the ballroom walls. About 400 attended the ball, held at the Winter Garden on Saturday evening. Proceeds will aid the Intellectually Handicapped Children’s Parents’ Association.
Several valuable prizes had been given for competitions during the evening. Members of the ball committee were Miss L. J. Bradley, Messrs N. Crowe, R. A. Silvester, G. Cockram, and G. Corlet.
