The Boat Show I
A great attraction in all European and American capitals, where huge crowds flock to see the latest developments in sea-craft, just as eagerly as they go to a motor show to watch car developments. A great attraction also in many North Island centres, where people are alive to the possibilities for sport and relaxation which are offered to us in New Zealand by our extensive and comparatively calm coastal waters,' and feast of rivers and inland lakes. Now the Boat Show has come to Christchurch. The present show is the brainchild of the New Brighton Power Boat Club, and it was first mooted at a quarterly meeting of the club some time ago. A committee of 30 members was set up, with Mr E. N. Peverill as secretary. ' -f - Thanks to the co-operation of the Army Department, the use of the King Edward Barracks was obtained. An ideal venue, central and offering plenty of space for imaginative exhibits and demonstrations. It opens this evening, and continues on evenings throughout this week, and all day and evening on Saturday.
Don’t miss the Boat Show.
