New Brighton Inquiries

An accident involving Latest. Meadow Scott, Yare and Dillon's Fashion with two furlongs to run was the subject of an inquiry after the H. E. Goggin Handicap at New Brighton on Saturday. It was found that Hindu Princeas giving ground quickly in a packed field, locked wheels with Latest. R.. Young was tipped from the sulky and Meadow Scott, Yare and Dillon’s Fashion were checked. Urall also received a check, No further action was taken. D. J. Townley, the driver of Aldora, was questioned about the breaking of his horse with two furlongs to run in the Avon Handicap. Townley said the horse broke without any interference. He checked Sextant, Ballista and Bespoke. G. S. Donald, the driver of King Hal, was warned to exercise more care in future. D. C. Watts was questioned about the running of Smoke Screen, which he drove In the Introductory Handicap. Watts’s explanation was accepted. After .the Cambridge Handicap, D. G. Jones, the trainer of Dieman Dan, was warned to improve the barrier manners of the horse. NEW BRIGHTON TROTTING CLUB INC.
