SAFEBREAKERS IN AUCKLAND
Two More Thefts Of Cash (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 1. The police have appealed to businessmen not to keep cash in office safes if avoidable. The head of the Auckland C. 1.8., Detective Chief Inspector J. W. Hill, said today that four attempts by criminals to blow safes open bad occurred in the city this week. Businessmen should bank cash whenever possible, as expert safe blowers were active. Two safes were blown last night. At Frozen Foods. Ltd., Great South road. £2OO was stolen and £lOO was taken from a safe at the office of A. D. Organ, Ltd., printers.
