Lawn Tennis HORNBY CLUB
At the fifty-first annual meeting of the Hornby Lawn Tennis Club, Mr Truman Taylor, secretary for the last 20 years, was unanimously elected a life member. Officers elected were:— President. Mr R. Heenan, vice-president. Mr G. Hood; secretary, Mr W. Ellwood: treasurer, Mr C. Courtney; women's club captain, Mrs T. Clark; men’s club captains. Messrs W. Ellwood. C Courtney: committee. Mesdames Hunter. Stewart. Carson. Messrs Hunter. Smith; delegates to E.L.TA., Messrs T. Taylor. R Heenan; junior committee, Messrs N. Smith, D. Allen. Opening day was set for, October 7. Burwood Park Chib Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Burwood Park Tennis Club were:—patron, Mr J. Mathison. M.P.; president, Mr F. S. E. Neale; vice-presi-dents. Mr S Cox, Mr B Shaw; club captain, Mr S. Harker; vice-captain, Mr D James; women s captain Mrs A. Kite: women's vice-captain, Mrs S. Eides; secretary Mrs P Ferguson; treasurer, Mr H. Parker; honorary auditor. Mr W Clark; general , committee. Mesdames M. Whiting. I. Hodgeon. M. Cummings. O. Turner P. Cox. M.-Parker, Messrs J. Turner. B. Lamberton
