BURNSIDE HIGH SCHOOL

Fashion Show For Swimming Pool

The polished pine beams of the Bumside High School assembly hall made an attractive setting last evening for a fashion parade presented by Hay’s Ltd. The firm’s mannequins were assisted by three girls from the fourth form of Burnside High School. The parade was in aid of funds for a swimming pool. “Although the school is only in its second year, we hope to have the pool started by the end of this year,” said the chairman of the ParentTeacher Association (Mr K G. McCaw). The target for this year is £l3OO, which will be brought to a total of £3OOO by a Government subsidy.

The guests, who packed the school assembly hall, were welcomed by the principal (Mr C. Cross).
