NEW ZEALANDER TOPS CLASS
Officer Cadet Course At Portsea (Mew Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. Dec. 8. A New Zealander, Colour Sergeant D. B. Slocomibe, of Christchurch, has gained top place at the Officer Cadet School, at Portsea, Australia. The Army Department announced today three other New Zealanders graduated, ' taking fourth, seventh and nineteenth places respectively out of a class of 29. All four will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the New Zealand Army.
The other successful New Zealanders were officer cadet, R. A. Monks fTauranea). sergeant, T. K. D. Reynish (Hokitika) and corporal M. R. M. Peebles (Auckland).
