Course For A.T.C. Officers

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 4. A training course for officers of the Air Training Corps will be held at the R.N.Z.A.F. maritime base at Lauthala Bay, Fiji, in January. Nine officers, three from each of the three A.T.C. areas, will fly to Lauthala Bay in an R.N.Z.A.F. Sunderland on January 17. They will return to New Zealand in a Hastings of No. 40 (Transport) Squadron from Nandi on January 27.

The course syllabus will concentrate on maritime operations and will include flights in Sunderlands.

Those attending the course are Squadron Leader A. P. Greer (Palmerston North), and Flight Lieutenants J. A. White (Dargaville), P. H. Eastcourt (Hamilton). G. L. Hutchinson (Auckland), G A. Kennedy (Hawera), R. F. Johncock (Napier). N. H. Scott (Ashburton). R. G. Williams (Oamaru), and E. R. Reynolds (Westport). The course will be conducted by Flight Lieutenant C. H. McKay, of R.N.Z.A.F. Headquarters.
