A-BOMBS ON CARRIERS
“New Weapon On British Ships” fN.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONIJON, December 1. Nuclear bombs have been issued to six of Britain’s aircraft-car-riers according to the “Daily Express’’ science writer. Chapman Scimitar and Sea yixen jets allotted to the carriers could carry a new atomic bomb specially designed for low-level attacks on ports, he said. Fleet Air Arm crews had been trained in the “toss-bombing’’ technique which enabled a plane to escape the nuclear blast it created.
