Fourth-round matches in the Canterbury Cricket Association’s competitions commenced on Saturday. Lower grade results were as follows: SECOND GRADE A West-University 289 (Thomson 104, Smith 47 not out. Stanton 44, Sugden 41; Malden six for 89) met Lancaster Park 201 for five. High School Old Boys 55 (Todd five for 21) and 133 (Heatley 51; Todd six for 37) met St. Albans 40 (Hicks ; six for 10). Riccarton 240 (Fuller 62, Cameron 158; Sibley six for 59) met Technical i Old Boys 93 for six (Mclntyre three I for 35). SECOND GRADE B Lancaster Park 221 (Burdon 48, Robinson 33; Muff five for 42) met East-Shirley 29 for one. Christ’s College 202 (Prain 47, Hazlett 41. Crighton 36, Ormond 36; Partridge three for 21, Curtis three for 47) met Old Collegians 46 for five (Kay three for 15). St. Andrew’s 184 (Mills 54, Thompson 47 not out; Lane three for 21, Low three for 25) met West-Uni-versity 39 for one. t St. Albans 161 (Robinson 54 not out, Shardlow 34; Thomas five for 35, Gordon three for 44) met Sydenham 131 for three (Beer 53 not out, Kerr 38). Riccarton 130 (August 39; Sutherland four for 35) beat Technical Old Boys 28 (August five for 9, McMahon four for 15) and 43 for five (McMahon four for 8) on the first innings.
