Halswell Deputy Chairman
The new deputy chairman of the Halswell County Council u Councillor J. G. MacArtaey. & was elected at yesterday's meeting of the council. There wu no other nomination.
The position became vacant ifter the resignation of Mr E. G Robertson. In his place on the council yesterday, for the first time, was Mr H. R. Williams.
