PARLIAMENT’S DIARY

After the formal opening of Parliament yesterday, members sat briefly to deal with urgent business. Opposition members gave notice of 20 written questions to be asked Ministers.

Mr T. P. Shand (Opposition, Marlborough) was granted seven days’ leave of absence on account of urgent private business.
