SUNSHINE IN SCHOOLS
Cashmere Plan Satisfactory New Zealanders were reputed to orientate their homes and schools to the sun and then spend a small fortune buying expensive blinds to keen the sunshine out. Had the problem arisen at the Cashmere High School, Mr Duncan Mackay asked at a meeting of the board of governors. The Christchurch Post-primary Schools’ Council had lately had complaints about oppressive sunshine in some unscreened rooms of new high schools, Mr Mackey said. .
