Aircraft Workers’ New Award

(New Zealand fress Association) WELLINGTON. June 3.

Wage increases ranging from £l3 a year for flying instructor engineers to 3s lid a week for aircraft hands are provided for in an award for aircraft workers issued yesterday by the Arbitration Court. The 24 per cent, wage order has also been incorporated in the award. ’

The award does not apply to any worker employed by the National Airways Corporation who is in receipt of a salary of £984 a year. The award embodies the terms of settlement arrived at in conciliation and the provision relating to rates of wages is retrospective to April I.’
