FRENCH CLUB MEETS
Three short talks were given at a meeting of the Christchurch French Club. Mrs M. H. Frankel spoke on “La Politesse—Ses Origines et son Histoire.” Miss G. Diehl gave an account of the arrival of the French at Akaroa. and Mr E. Georgieff gave a conversation with a down-and-out “Sous un Pont de Paris,”
Misses G. and A Diehl sang folk songs, accompanying themselves on the accordion and guitar. Professor R. T. Sussex presided at the meeting.
