The Rangitikei Cup is worth £lOOO. is run over one mile and three furlongs. and is the first leg of the T.A.B. double. He has. however, shown Improvement in his training lately, and he may be ready to show better public fortn. Elsted, which is trained on the Bulls track, is certain to be one of the favourites. He found the top class stayers at Trentham a little beyond him, but In his start before that he won the Marton Cup, and tomorrow’s .provincial ciaaa would be well within the scope. The second leg is the Mengatapu Handicap, for which Blonde Sprite. Fair King. Solepic, Glrvan, and Spiborough will be the best backed division.
