Winners Of Music Scholarships

As a result of the 1959 examinations conducted by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Miss Anne F. Lockwood. L.R.S.M., of Christchurch, and Miss Mary Scott, L.R.S.M., of Dunedin, have been elected to scholarships tenable for three years respectively at the Royal College of Music and at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Miss Lockwood received her training in pianoforte from Mrs M. G. Moon. Miss Scott studied pianoforte under Miss R. Thomson and violin under Mrs L. D. Challenger. Miss Scott had the unusual distinction of gaining the concert diploma in pianoforte and in violin during the same period of the examinations.
