Forest And Bird Society

Many hours were spent identifying and photographing a wide variety of alpine plants by members of the New Zealand Forest and Bird Protection Society at their camp at Arthur’s Pass. The camp was organised and the programme arranged by the Canterbury branch of the society.

Walks were made to Temple Basin, Margaret’s Tam, the Bealey Glacier, and Halpin’s Creek. Mr E. G. Turbott and Mr B. Teague led the walks.
