Hydatids Council Appointed
Representatives of local bodies, farming organisations, and dog owners are among the nine members of the National Hydatids Council, the appointment of which was announced in the Gazette by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Skinner. Seven members have been appointed for a term of three years from December 10, 1959, and the two Government members have been appointed for an indefinite term. The Government members are: —Dr. I. J. Cunningham (Assistant Director-General of the Department of Agriculture), and Dr C. N. D. Taylor (Director of Health, Education-Health Departments). Other members and the organisations they represent are:— Messrs A. G. Dawson (Federated Farmers); L. D. Cameron (Counties’ Association); G. W. Key (Municipal Association); J Duncan (New Zealand*. Kennel Club); W. M. Harvie tion of Young Farmers’* Clubs); P. J. Scott (Hydatid Research Committee of the Medical Research Council); J. StirliiW (Veterinary Association).
