Klaus Fuchs Married

The atom spy Dr. Klaus Fuchs, said today that he had been married earlier this month. His bride was Greta Keilson, widow of a former East German Government news chief, who was in her forties. She had been a Communist since her youth. She was waiting for Dr. Fuchs at East Berlin Airport when he arrived from Britain on June 23 after serving nine years of a sentence for passing atomic secrets to Russia. Dr. Fuchs aged 47, who started work today as Deputy-Director of the East German Nuclear Research Institute at Dresden, declined to talk about his marriage, which took place on September 9 at an East Berlin registry office.,
