COWWERCIAL Dental And Medical Shares Gain 2/-

, Dental an d Medical shares rose sharply to sell at 57s on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Chis was the first Dominion business recorded in these shares since September 15, when they sold for 555. Farrier-Waimak, in first business since publication of the accounts, gained 3s in a sale at 19s after recent firmer quotations. Ampol shares sold for 225, compared with 20s 6d in Christchurch last week. A sale had been made in Auckland at 22s on Tuesday.

Share prices generally were firmer in Christchurch yesterday. Other gains were recorded by Commercial Bank of Australia, New Zealand Breweries, Tekau Knitwear, A.W.A., Clyde Industries, Colonial u f a J*’ National Consolidated, Bing Harris A, Tasman and Matea Forests. Two parcels of Bank of N.S.W. so’d 2s U P a t £35 17s 6d and one parcel sold at ioo 15s,
