Superstition
Sir, —I really enjoyed the article on “Superstition" by “S.A.” How well I remember hearing when I was young, all that she said. It could have been my home and mother that she wrote about Because of the ridicule of my grow-ing-up family, I no longer am superstitious, though I still try not to see the new moon through the window, and, at times, slyly throw a pinch of salt over my shoulder when I spill some. Thanks to these enlightened days, I am—Yours etc., NOT SUPERSTITIOUS NOW. August 14, 1959.
