ROAD COURTESY CRUSADE
Chamber Of Commerce Message All drivers should consider the other man and do a little more towards helping the other motorist to enjoy his trip, the vice-president of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce (Mr R. C. Neville) said yesterday. He was commending the road courtesy crusade, which is to start in Christchurch next Monday, and to continue for two weeks. “The Canterbury Chamber of Commerce congratulates the Christchurch Metropolitan Road Safety Council on its sponsoring of the courtesy crusade." he said “It recognises that while the motor vehicle both private and commercial has done much to enrich the lives of everyone, it has created difficulties which have necessitated personal adjustments in our way f thinking from time to time." Mr Neville said the moto-ist must remember delays were just as maddening for the other driver; parking space just as remote for him, and he also had to face the perils from the careless “He must now realise that the roads are for him and every other motorist and that there is still room for all to enjoy their motoring “In short, if he will try to become a courteous driver and succeeds others will follow suit,' Mr Neville added.
Premises Entered.— The premises of Mr A. A. Glendinning, a plumber, of 705 Ferry road, and the Kilmore Street Hall, at 115 Kilmore street, were entered and ransacked during the week-end Nothing was stolen.
