NATIONAL FAT STOCK SHOW

Record cattle entries have been received for this year’s Grand National fat stock show and sale which will be held by the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association at Addington saleyards on July 28 and 29. Cattle entries total 128 compared with 88 last year and 111 in both of 1956 and 1944. . All sections are well supported with 18 entries for the class for three steers not over three years and 21 entries for the Butchers’ C ip class for a pen of three not over three years and not over 8001 b. The judge of cattle this year will be Mr Frank Hair, of Gisborne. The sheep classes have on this occasion attracted 124 entries compared with 117 last year and 125 in 1949 and 134 in 1950. ' ,
