Three Years’ Gaol For Theft
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 17. Mr Justice T. A. Gresson. in the Supreme Court at Auckland, today sentenced Tiri Tamehana, aged 40, a workman, to three years’ gaol on a charge of breaking and entering and theft of liquor worth £5B 8s 3d from the Grand Hotel, Rotorua, on June 20 last. Tamehana had been sent to the Supreme Court at Auckland from the Rotorua Magistrate’s Court for consideration of preventive detention.
