MOBILE X-RAY UNIT
Chest Examinations In Suburbs The chest X-ray unit of the Health Department will begin its Christchurch suburban itinerary on Monday, when it will stop for the morning at the corner of Colombo and Salisbury streets. The mobile van will be in position at 9.15 a.m. and will stay there until 1 p.m. From 1.45 p.m. until 4 p.m. it will be at the intersection of Colombo street and Bealey avenue. On Tuesday and Wednesday it will be at the Colombo streetEdgeware road comer from 9 a.m. each day. The Department of Health began its campaign to X-ray 20,000 persons in Christchurch last Tuesday. It hopes to reach or pass its target in four months. During this week the unit has been in Cathedral square outside the chief post office, and more than 1000 persons were X-rayed. Yesterday’s batch of 284 persons brought the total to 1124.
