PLANE DOWN IN LAMMERLAWS
Club Awaiting Thaw Before Recovery (New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 17. The Southland Aero Club decided tonight to leave its Auster aircraft in the Lammerlaw range until a thaw in about 10 weeks’ time. The plane was forced to land on a flight from Ranfurly to Invercargill last Thursday. The aircraft is not seriously Only the perspex windscreen is cracked and one wheel damaged. Men at the Beaumont station will make periodic checks on the plane.
