£21,330 Earned Last Year (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 13: Net profits of Heards, Ltd., Auckland, confectionery manufacturers. was £21,330 for the year to March 31. In the previous year it was a record £26.204. The result is after tax provision of £21,416 (£28,562 last year) and depreciation provision

of £12.252 (£12.897). Dividend has been maintained at 10 per cent., to which it was increased from 9 per cent, last year. It takes an unchanged £15,600. There is no transfer to general reserve this year (£5857 last year) and carry-forward is increased from £29,585 to £35,315. Gross trading profit fell from £157,319 to £154.661. Other receipts fell from £3201 to £2026. Selling and distribution costs increased from £64.312 to £72,103. The balance sheet shows an increase in bank overdraft from £22,443 to £30,628. Value of stocks has increased from £91,237 to £103.732. Debtors have been reduced from £51,816 to £44,565.
