Plans For Chopin Anniversary

The year 1960 will mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Polish composer, Frederic Chopin. Among the events now being planned by the Polish Government to celebrate this occasion, an International Congress of Musicology devoted to problems related to the works of Chnpin will be held in Warsaw during February. 1960. The congress will be divided into five sections dealing with studies of style; historical aspects; problems of execution; bibliography; sources and publishing; and a general section which will study themes related to the history of Polish music.
