Mr C. L. Bishop of Wellington, representing the Municipal Association of New Zealand, has been appointed chairman of the Timber Preservation Authority. Other members are: Messrs E. R. Glass, representing the New Zealand Master Builder’s Federation, 1. Macallan, representing the New Zealand Institution of Engineers and W. J. McKeon, representing the New Zealand Institute of Architects (all of Wellington»: and Mr E. W. D. Unwin of Timaru, representing the New Zealand Timber Merchants Federation. Mr C. W. Prince, of Auckland, has been awarded the New Zealand Accountants’ and Auditors’ Association prize offered oy the* New Zealand Society of Accountants to the student presenting the best paper in auditing in the Bachelor of Commerce and Accountancy examination in November, 1957.
