COMMERCIAL Prices Easy On Quiet Market

The Christchurch Stock Exchange closed for the week on a quiet note for share transactions, but the turnover of Government securities wax easily the highest for any single day this year. Prices were mainly easier.

New Zealand Breweries eased 3s to change hands hands at 50s and other stocks to ease were Ross and Glendining, National Bank, Feltex (Australia), Ampol, Giant, New Zealand Packing and WhakaWoolworths and 1.C.1. (A.N.Z.) were firmer.
