Staff Reorganisation By Drainage Board

Engineering staff changes, which would include year 2000, were announced by the chairman of the Christchurch Drainage Board {Mr G. A. G* Cennal) last evenirig. Iff 4lj | I He listed the main changes a j:—

A long-term planning division to be set up immediately, under the control of the present chief engineer (Mr E. F. Scotti. While retaining his senior statiis, lie will assume fhd title of cfiidf engineer, planning, and report direct to the board. All operattonal work except construction pl the new deWage treatment plant will be under the direst charge of the deput>;ertgineer (Mr H. F. Page), who will assume the title 6f chitf eigtoeer, operations, and report direct

to the board. Construction of the new sewage treatment and disposal plant will be under the direct charge of Mr D. L. Steven, and he wifi also report direct to. the board.. Superintendent, will be relieved of all duties not pertaining to the Sewdg* farm disposal work. The stormwater engineer will be relieved of all long-term stormwater planning woftk. The major works engineer will control some of the sewer reticulation Work. .
