Catchment Board Rating Areas

As Ward 11 of the Counties’ Association unanimously favoured the abolition of the Waimakariri and Eyre-Cust loan rating areas, and the incorporation of the special fates in the recently classified Waimakariri-Eyre-Cust rating area, the North Canterbury Catchment Board has authorised the taking of steps to obtain the necessary legislation. If the old rating is continued, the rating will continue *to 1972. If authority is obtained, the land rate will be collected in the new classified area, the classification adjusting previous anomalies.
